We don't keep the upstairs real cool since it requires the downstairs to be too cold. However, I did notice the difference last week when it was so hot. Normally, it is pretty stuffy up there, but it was noticeably cooler. I didn't feel the need to put every ceiling fan on high. We couldn't be happier with the decision to go with Classic roofing. Loud? No, I wouldn't say it's loud at all. And it doesn't sound like we are in a can or something. I have to admit, I do love the sound of rain, though, and even more so since the new roof. When it pours, I mute any noise just so I can listen. And it can really pour here, but I never feel like I'm drowned out by the noise. LOVE! IT! :) Michele, Kentucky
