Yesterday I received this extremely impressive story from Mitch Magness, a homeowner in Campbellsville, Kentucky who had a red Classic Metal Roof installed on his log home in June of 2007.

Joe,

We have had our Classic Metal Roof for almost a year and we continue to get compliments. The most recent compliment came in the form of an unexpectedly high appraisal. We last had our home appraised in January 2006. During the past two years we added a side walk to the front entrance, new counter tops and, as you know, our new Red Roof. The appraisal came back $90,000 more than it did two years ago. The appraiser said it was mostly due to the quality and presentation of the new roof.

We are delighted, especially when most of the homes around here have dropped in price during this past year.

Thanks again,
Mitch Magness

Needless to say, I’m thrilled to see that we were able to help the Magnesses increase their home value at a time when all we’re hearing is about how home values are drastically declining. Also, although they do plan on staying there long-term, it’s nice for Mitch and his family to see a return on their metal roof investment of over 200% almost immediately!
